The 98th annual Mapleside Farms Johnny Appleseed Festival will be held Saturday & Sunday, September 15 & 16 and promises to be bigger and better than ever with lots more to do. The event commemorates the birthday of Johnny Appleseed and is the official kick-off to the fall apple harvest seaso and Mapleside's own Pumpkin Village.

Mapleside Farms' 39th annual Johnny Appleseed Festival will feature tons of exciting vendors and attractions for both kids and adults. From wood carving demonstrations, to the barnyard petting zoo, to over 100 handmade craft vendors, there's truly something for everyone.

The two-day festival will also provide plenty of live entertainment to keep you busy, including performances by Elite Dance Academy; and music by Double Barrel, The High Plain Drifters, The Pilgrim Band, Conestga, and Coalies Run.

This year, festival guests will be treated to appearances by some of America's greatest legends, such as Paul Bunyan, Davy Crockett, and Pocahontas. We'll also be handing out autograph books so you can take a piece of history home with you after meeting these American legends! The Johnny Appleseed Festival kicks off Mapleside Farms' Pumpkin Village, featuring everyone's favorite fall attractions like the corn maze, hay rides, cow train, Jump Park, and corn cannon!

As always, plenty of food and drink will be available to attendees, including some favorites from Mapleside's own Melrose Grille, Corbo's Bakery, and Little Mountain Creamery. Guests will also be treated to a free concert by the Motown band Shockwave from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday Sept 15th. The Festival takes place Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sept 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults age 18 and over; $3 for ages 17 and under, as well as seniors; and free for children under two.
